New nordixx-Poles and Apparel

In 2008, we added new products to our portfolio: The “Global Traveler”
— new adjustable walking poles consisting of 3 winding sections
(instead of only 2) that can be lowered to fit into your suitcase; plus
an ergonomic fanny pack, and some sports apparel.

NPWUSA reached out to Canada in 2008

It was exiting to experience how Nordic Pole Walking spread out to new
areas and was immediately recognized as a wonderful and effective outdoor
sport.

In June 2008, NordicPoleWalkingUSA launched Pole Walking in Canada under
“Nordic Pole Walking Canada”.

At the Sunnybrook Health Science Centre in Toronto, Canada’s largest
and well-known hospital, we started Pole Walking as an employee program
with great success. From there we were invited to more hospitals, clubs
and associations to introduce our programs. We already have certified
many new NPW-instructors, and despite the strong winter there, many new
NPW-groups have formed in the Toronto area.
